Requirements:

This two-day course has been designed for new environmental, health and safety (EHS) professionals who are responsible for safety and health at their organization. Only EHS professionals that are currently employed with five years or less of EHS experience should sign up for this course. To ensure this requirement is being met, you must complete a CERTIFICATION FORM and email to Wanda Lagoe at [email protected]. If you meet both requirements for the course, you will be sent a password that will allow you to register for the course. 

For this class, you do not need the 29 CFR, Code of Federal Regulations.

Event Description:

Please Note: Our system will not accept duplicate emails. Complying With OSHA General Industry Standards – Beginners Level

This beginner’s level two-day course will cover general industry standards, state specific standards for general industry and the recordkeeping standards. Upon completion, the attendee will know which standards apply to them, what requirements need to be met to comply with the applicable standards and most materials needed to meet the requirements. This includes a safety and health management program, PowerPoint presentations, training handouts, and an industry guide detailing the standards that have special requirements (i.e., inspections, tests, training, programs).

This is an activity-based course so it will be limited to 15 people with a limit of two attendees per company. Any questions regarding this course should be directed to Wanda Lagoe at [email protected]

This course is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the first day and 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the second day with a one hour break for lunch. Attendees will be on their own for lunch, however, there are several eating establishments in the nearby area.

  1. You must attend 100% of this course to receive credit.
  2. You do not need to bring the 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards.
  3. You will receive your certificate via email within 3-4 weeks.
  4. We only provide certificates to those who register and attend the full course.
  5. Total course hours equal MESH credit earned.

  7. This information can be used to supplement your site specific training materials but is not to be considered a substitute for your organization's specific safety and health program or training materials.
