Hand and Power Tools
(Construction Industry)

This course provides an overview of hand and power tools, 29 CFR 1926, Subpart I.  Topics to be discussed include regulatory requirements, safe design, use, hazard identification and abatement methods for tools used in the construction industry.  At the end of the course, students should have a basic understanding of the standards’ requirements, proper tool use, design and safe maintenance.
