Welding and Cutting
(General Industry)
This course provides an overview of welding and cutting in general industry, 29 CFR 1910 Subpart Q. Topics to be discussed include welding fire hazards, selection of welding eye protection, management’s responsibility, general requirements, oxygen-fuel gas welding and arc welding. At the end of this course, students should have a basic understanding of regulatory requirements related to “hot work”, personal protective equipment and safe work practices to prevent “hot work” accidents.
We recommend Windows 7 or newer, IE 10 or newer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. We recommend all other windows on your computer be closed and your computer speakers turned on. The system does not support telephone call in.
