Event Description:

Welding and Cutting
(Construction Industry)

This course provides an overview of welding and cutting in construction, 29 CFR 1926, Subpart J.  Topics to be discussed include regulatory requirements for gas welding and cutting, arc welding and cutting, fire prevention, ventilation, protection, safe work practices, hazard identification and abatement methods.  At the end of this course, students should have a basic understanding of regulatory requirements related to “hot work”, personal protective equipment and safe work practices to prevent “hot work” accidents.

We recommend Windows 7 or newer, IE 10 or newer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. We recommend all other windows on your computer be closed and your computer speakers turned on. The system does not support telephone call in.
