(General and Construction Industry)

 

This course provides an overview of the control of hazardous energy (lockout/tagout), 29 CFR 1910.147. Topics to be discussed include the need for energy control procedures, lockout/tagout methods, employer's responsibilities, employee training needs and inspection requirements. At the end of the course, students should have a basic understanding of the lockout/tagout regulatory requirements and methods for isolating and de-energizing equipment prior to service or maintenance.
